Two courses down, two to go.
We started with latkes, topped with fresh ricotta, applesauce and bacon bits. It was my first time making the hallowed family recipe, so the pressure was on. The texture wasn’t right on, but they were great nonetheless. My dad would be proud – except for the bacon part.
Matzah balls were less successful. I think when you’re contemplating a knife to cut them in half, something has gone deeply wrong. They were very tasty though, but not a success overall.
Now on to lamb!
